Travel Insurance should be a mandatory requirement on any overseas excursion.   There are so many areas from missed flight connections to lost baggage and in the worst case medical emergencies that will cover the relatively small cost of trip insurance 100's of times over.  

Please do not get caught without suitable cover.

Although not mandatory in some locations Medivac Insurance is advised at the more remote fishing lodges and in particular those serviced with a weekly flight.   Equally, if you have any health concerns then this is highly recommened, even if it is as much for peace of mind, both yours and your family!
