Cottonwick Villa

Cottonwick finished a complete rebuild in 2016 and now offers everything that a honeymoon couple, team of friends or family with children could want from a medium-sized villa. Three equally proportioned, ensuite bedrooms open to the centrally positioned swimming pool in the heart of the house.

The ‘Great Room’ combines a dining table with seating capacity for 8-10 at one end with sofas and an entertainment system on the other. To the rear of the property is an outside dining area under a timber pergola. The relaxing sound of trickling water permeates throughout, from the cascading feature pools to the front and the garden cascade plunge pool to the rear.

Mustique - Island in One Day

Wake up with the sunrise and go for a pre-breakfast run around the island fitness trail. Olga and Gemey will have the breakfast of your choice awaiting your return. The local fruit out here is the real deal, absolutely delicious. After breakfast Macaroni beach beckons with its wonderful waves and acres of white sand. From 7 to 70 yr olds this is the centrepiece of Mustique beach action.

Lunch can be back at the house but why not make the most of the day and have a barbecue beach lunch at anyone of the numerous dedicated picnic areas around Mustique. Sleep off the Rose’ back at Cottonwick and enjoy the swimming pool or sun loungers. For a more relaxing afternoon beach session its down to the Cottonhouse with the fabulous beach bar, spa, dive-centre and snorkelling to hand.

Late afternoon’s or the early evening’s are the time to make best use of the floodlit tennis courts. For the less active then hop over to Basil’s to watch the sun go down. It’s your villa so it’s your party. Invite some friends back to the Villa for drinks or supper. A full house is ten round the dining table and rest assured that Hazelann your chef and Kendol your butler will do absolutely whatever they can to accommodate last minute dinner guests. Nights definitely do not stop here. Let the island vibe take control with cocktails at Firefly or dancing at Basils’. There is usually always something on so go with the flow and the exercise regime the following day can take a break…you are after all on holiday!!!

The Beaches

There really are not many places that have beaches as beautiful, as varied or as uncrowded as those on Mustique.  Despite its small it packs in an incredible amount of diverse places to explore, have picnics at, swim, dive or snorkel or find somewhere that offers you the sort of privacy you would expect on a private beach.

Cotton House Beach: At the heart of the island it has the beach cafe, diving and watersports centre, deck chairs and calm waters for swimming and snokelling.

Macaroni:   The beach with tghe waves and where you will find just about every teenager between the age of 12 and 24.   A really fun beach with great surf for bogey boarding or just bouncing in the water.

Geliceaux:   Below what was Princess Margrets house.   ccess by a headland path it is one of the most private beaches on the island.

Briatannia Bay:   Overlooked by the Basil's Bar and beyond the white sand beach is an incredibly snorkelling experience where you will swim with countless turtles.

Lagoon: Super calm, Lagoon is perfect for very young children as well as be an excellent venue for beach picnic at one of the huts.

Pasture Bay:    Maybe the most specatcular beach with its vast expanse of beach it is one of the popular picnic spots where you can take in the raw energy of the Atlantic Ocean, unrestrained by a reef.

Staff at Cottonwick - What guests think

Cottonwick has two full-time staff, Gemy the butler/gardener and Olga his wife who is also the Cook/housekeeper.  Guests who have stayed at Cottonwick sum up their thoughts better than anyone:

"What an amazing holiday! Cottonwick is fantastic and you have the most wonderful team in Olga and Gemmy. The food was delicious and Gemmy was so patient and kind with us all, (adults as well as 6 and 4yr olds!!). Olga really is an impressive chef. She puts all others to shame. The holiday could not have been more relaxed and easy. Thank you for making is all feel so welcome". A Dykes & Family -April 2018

We had a wonderful week here on Mustique. The house is superb and admirably fulfilled all our needs and requirements. We loved the house, we loved its proximity to the tennis courts and beaches…we loved everything about Mustique. Gemey and Olga have surpassed themselves; Olga is a rare talent, really really delicious meals, enough to put the rest of the eateries on Mustique out of business! Sublime. P Weatherby - Nov 2017

  • Cottonwick was perfection. You’ve created a beautiful home and all four of us loved every minute of our stay. Gemmie and Olga looked after us so well that it took several days before we felt compelled to drive ourselves anywhere independently. We indulged ourselves and ate lobsters on two occasions and Olga produced delicious food throughout. You’ve designed the villa very cleverly so there’s enough privacy for everyone. Since we all needed a complete rest to re-charge our batteries we only ate out one night. The island is stunning and pretty much deserted. We swam most mornings at the bay beyond Lagoon where we were the only souls there. It was an amazing experience and I very hope we will return. S Dingwall 2018

Olga & Gemey you are both hidden treasures, we had such a fantastic holiday because of you. thank you Gemey for orientating us to the island; showing us where to go; how to get there…and for all the Bryan Adams songs. Olga your cooking is THE BEST on the island bar none. A truly amazing couple - working in sync.

  • Mustique was spectacular, beyond word, without question the best holiday we have ever had. Cottonwick was unrivalled 5 star luxury, the redesign looks amazing. Gemey & Olga are truly the dream team -breakfast without the world’s greatest bacon is just not the same. We returned home with a heavy heart and proceeded to bore everyone as we could not stop talking about how incredible the whole trip was.
