Fly-fishing tuition & casting instructionGary Scott is recognised as one of the finest fly casters in the world today with experience around the world in all aspects of game angling. A prominent name in competition distance casting, Gary is in demand as an instructor, demonstrator and fly fishing guide both in the UK and abroad. As a fully qualified and experienced AAPGAI instructor Gary has proven his ability both to demonstrate and teach fly fishing techniques. Gary is now able to offer tuition and guidance on all aspects of fly casting and fly fishing including guided fishing trips in the UK and selected world venues. As an instructor Gary is happy to either accompany clients on pre-arranged days on the river or at his local teaching venue on the River Teith. LocationBased out of Glasgow in Scotland Gary is in convenient range of either the Rivers Teith, Tay or Dee. Customers can arrange to meet Gary at his local venue, or if they prefer, at a venue of their choice. If Customers choose their own venue then travel expenses will be included in the overall costs. If you wish Gary to join you at a venue which has a resident ghillie then it is essential that Gary's presence as an instructor is cleared by the ghillie prior to the booking. Courses AvailableTuition is offered for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels and for those who have ambitions to become professional instructors themselves. Gary offers a structured system of tuition to suit all different levels of skill. Instruction is available on an hourly, half day or full day basis. Gary offers the following services:

About Gary Scott - 2006 Scottish World Casting ChampionsGary has specialised in the use of the salmon double handed rod and through his involvement with other casters like Peter Anderson, Ian Gordon, Eoin Fairgreive, Bill Drury and Scott Mackenzie his distance casting skills have developed to the point where he is now considered one of the best in the world. He won his first distance casting event at The Chatsworth Game Fair. Since that first win Gary has continued to rank high in all the competitions he has entered and in 2006 the five man Scottish team of Ian Gordon, Eoin Fairgreive, Bill Drury, Scott Mackenzie and Gary were crowned world champions at the World Emerald Masters in Ireland with over thirty countries competing.
